That’s So Raven’s Rondell Sheridan Launches GoFundMe for Medical Bills

Former Disney Channel star Rondell Sheridan is asking for medical assistance after being hospitalized with pancreatitis.
Sheridan, 66, who appeared on Thatâs So Raven, took to Instagram on Tuesday, May 6, to share an update on his health.
âMy pancreas is inflamed and thereâs not much you can do but just wait for the inflammation to go down,â Sheridan said about how a trip to the hospital initially resulted in him being diagnosed with a âgastricâ issue.
Sheridan went through âa ton of testsâ before it was identified as a case of pancreatitis. The actor noted that his current condition will prevent him from being able to work for âquite some time.â
Elsewhere in the video, Sheridan asked his followers to donate to his GoFundMe fundraiser to âhelp with some medical bills.â The page was set up in Sheridanâs honor from a friend with the hope of raising $35,000. The amount donated so far is over $28,000 after nearly 500 donations.
Sheridan is an actor and comedian who rose to stardom playing Victor on the Disney Channel sitcom Thatâs So Raven. He reprised the role of the patriarch on spinoffs Cory in the House and Ravenâs Home. Sheridan has also appeared on Minor Adjustments and a variety of other comedic projects.
Many fans who showed Sheridan support in the comments of his post recognized him for playing Raven-SymonĂ©âs on screen dad. SymonĂ©, 39, recently reflected on her experience being in front of the camera, which started as soon as she was an infant.
âI knew it was work immediately. My parents made sure that I understood this was a job. I get paid for it and you show up professionally,â she shared in Demi Lovatoâs Child Star doc for Hulu, which was released in September 2024. â[You know what money is] when you are told how much you are getting paid for the job that you do. So I knew at 3 how much I was making and I understood it was a job. If you lose it, you donât make that money.â
SymonĂ© was asked whether she considered herself the breadwinner, to which she replied, âWe call it a family business. Everybody has a job within the family business. Nobody likes to say one person is the breadwinner or not. Read through those lines.â
She added: âSometimes the parentâs dreams might bleed into the childâs. And you get so enmeshed. Parents forget that young kids are performing for their parentsâ love and affection. It is a lot of money and money does crazy s***.â
Symoné starred on The Cosby Show before transitioning to Disney Channel with her own show. However, Symoné admitted at the time that she no longer remembered her experience from some of her earlier projects when she was still a child.
âIt is disappearing every single day,â she told Lovato about her time on in the â90s. âNothing is a pure memory for me right now.â
