Diddy Plans Madison Square Garden Return After Prison Release

Sean “Diddy” Combs is already thinking about returning to the stage after he is freed from prison, his attorney said.

“One thing he said, he’s going to back in Madison Square Garden,” attorney Marc Agnifilo said in an interview with CBS Mornings set to air Thursday, August 7.

Asked what Diddy planned to do at the famed New York City venue, Agnifilo responded, “I guess being on stage.”

In the interview, Agnifilo said Diddy, 55, also hopes to spend time with his family when he is released and the disgraced music mogul has had time to reflect on “the blessings that he’s been given, on the imperfections that I think he sees in himself.”

“I think he wants to get out of jail, reestablish a loving, present relationship with all of his seven children. He wants to take care of his mother,” Diddy’s attorney said.

“I think he’s someone who’s always going to strive to do something, you know, exceptional and probably demanding and challenging,” Agnifilo added. “But I think the most demanding and challenging thing in front of him right now is to get back with his kids and get back with his mother, and the people who love him and miss him.”

Diddy was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in early July following a two-month trial. He is due to be sentenced on October 3. The charges mean Diddy could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison, less time already served.

The rapper has been incarcerated since September 2024, when he was first indicted on five charges, including the two prostitution-related charges. At trial, Diddy was cleared of three further charges: two counts of sex trafficking and one count of racketeering conspiracy. (Diddy has maintained his innocence since his arrest and denied all the charges against him.)
