Boxing Results: Albert Ramirez’s Power On Display: Stops Pampellone

In the main event, light heavyweight southpaw Albert Ramirez (22-0, 19 KOs) stopped Jerome ‘The Panther’ Pampellone (19-3, 12 KOs) at 1:15 of the seventh of a scheduled 12 rounds on Friday night at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in Benghazi, Libya.
In the co-Main Event, Mirco Cuello stopped Sergio Rios Jimenez in two rounds.
In the fifth round, Ramirez dropped Pampellone. In the seventh round, Ramirez dropped Pampellone twice, forcing referee James Guzman to call a halt.
In the co-main event, Featherweight Mirco Cuello (16-0, 13 KOs) stopped Sergio ‘El Chakal’ Rios (19-1, 7 KOs) in the second round of a scheduled 12.
In the first round, Cuello dropped Rios. In the second round, Cuello dropped Rios twice, forcing referee Roberto Ramirez, Jr. to call a halt.
Lightweight Francisco Fonseca, 37-4-2 (29), #134, of Managua, NIC, defeated ed Sofiane Oumiha, 6-1 (3), #134 ½, of Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, FR, over 10 rounds.
In the third round, Fonseca dropped Oumiha. The scores were 97-92, 95-94, and 95-94. Gerardo Poggi was the referee.
Cruiserweight Cuban southpaw Mike Perez (31-3-1, 22 KOs) and Christian Potro Fabian Luis (12-4, 8 KOs) ended in a no contest after four rounds of a scheduled 10.
At the end of the fourth round, Perez landed an illegal, unintentional blow, dropping Luis after the bell. Luis couldn’t continue, causing referee Oliver Brien to rule no contest.
Super featherweight Josue Francisco Aguero (14-0, 7) defeated Diego ‘FlaKO’ Ortiz Aleman (20-4-,14 KOs) by a 10-round unanimous decision. The referee was Chris Young.
The scores were 100-90, 100-90, and 100-90.
